Account Executive

As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in generating new business through MSP and MSSP partnerships. Building strong relationships with prospective partners, and understanding their needs, goals, pain points, and growth plans, as they go through their Timus journey into becoming a paid partner is critical. We are looking for someone who not only possesses exceptional closing skills but also lives our core values—Fearless Innovation, Dynamic Synergy, Relentless Excellence, Adaptive Mindset, and Living Life—every day. Account Executives generate “land revenue” by working on a combined pipeline of inbound and self-prospected leads to take prospects through demo and a PoC into a first transacted Partner client.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new “land” business pipeline (partners) via self-prospecting and working with BDRs and do demos to qualified prospects
  • Generate new land revenue by successfully taking an opportunity through a PoC to technical win and first deployed partner client.
  • Actively work on nurturing current pipeline by building strong relationships with MSPs and MSSPs with the initial discovery calls around their needs, goals, and use cases they have in mind for their clients.
  • Timus Networks lives in data. Be prompt and intentional in keeping HubSpot up to date on all prospects, pipelines and deals.
  • Build meaningful connections with prospects at industry events to create brand awareness, book meetings and do product demos
  • Understand and stay educated on the cybersecurity landscape and MSP market in order to successfully meet prospects/clients’ needs and objectives
  • Be the primary point of contact and trusted partner for all new prospects and Active PoCs
  • Work with Channel Growth Managers closely to “hand-off” the Landed Partners to the Expansion Pipeline

Adaptive Skills

  • Efficient Planning & Prioritization: Manages time effectively, prioritizing the 8 hours in the day between “prospecting via outbound calls, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email sequencing” and “doing demos, PoC onboarding, Active PoC check-ups”, and “keeping up with HubSpot hygiene on the pipeline”.
  • Organized Execution & Calm Problem-Solving: Keep Calm and Keep Winning is Timus Motto.
  • Effective Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicates clearly and effectively with MSP prospects and internal teams, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Informed Decision-Making & Commitment: Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset with a go-getter, proactive ownership mindset and has the ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving, high growth startup environment.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills, and Empathy Towards Partners and Other Timus Members

Qualifications

  • Strong passion for sales and tech; desire to reach to new heights in his/her sales career in a high-growth startup
  • Loves to hunt and close. Proactive go-getter.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a demanding but fun environment
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence, resilience and attention to detail
  • Experience with HubSpot, Apollo and other sales tools
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in SaaS AE/AM roles
  • Experience in selling with SASE, ZTNA or network security solutions is a HUGE plus
